This autumn, Vitra and Calienna present Greenhaus, a temporary concept unfolding across the entire upper floor of Calienna. Known as a cultural space blending plant store, café, gallery, and studio, Calienna will be transformed into a living homage to the enduring connection between iconic design and the quiet vitality of plants.

Rooted in the spirit of places like the Eames House and inspired by the VitraHaus, Greenhaus resonates with Calienna’s philosophy — where nature, design, and daily life consciously intersect.

The installation brings together two worlds: the language of design and a plant-centered vision for more conscious living. Together they create spaces that are alive, expressive, and deeply tangible. Visitors will encounter furniture classics by Charles and Ray Eames, alongside the Anagram Sofa by Panter & Tourron, the Slow Chairs by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, and other Vitra highlights.

Greenhaus is more than a temporary installation. It is a space designed to be lived in: a place for events, conversations, moments of retreat, remote work, and presentations.

Before heading out for their first US tour (beginning in California!) Cari Cari will be taking over Calienna for a series of events to celebrate the launch of their upcoming album 𝙊𝙣𝙚 𝙈𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙏𝙧𝙞𝙥 𝘼𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙪𝙣.

As huge fans of these two we’re proud to turnover Calienna to them for this very special occasion.

Calienna is handing the space over to Kids of the Diaspora, the Vienna-based collective and label founded by sisters Leni and Cherelle. Known for blending fashion, art, and community, KOTD explores themes of identity, belonging, and empowerment while celebrating cultural diversity. Together, Leni and Cherelle have built a platform that moves fluidly between creative disciplines and lived experience, creating spaces that invite both dialogue and connection.

As part of their Inner Garden Party series, Cherelle will guide guests through a grounding meditation before inviting them to capture their visions on paper. Leni and Cherelle will be on hand to support participants in exploring their inner landscapes and to help interpret what emerges. The evening unfolds as a shared journey into the gardens we each carry within, blending reflection, creativity, and community.

We’re growing up! New gallery floor at Calienna is open.

Since we opened in September 2020, we’ve been working hard to complete our vision for the interior space at Neubaugasse 68. We’ve designed every aspect of Calienna ourselves from the brand identity to the interior design, all within our own creative studio, Calienna Projects. From here we’ve lovingly curated a space upstairs that is filled with creativity, craft and consideration. We’re so excited to show you what we’ve dreamed up and will keep dreaming up as the space adapts for new and exciting ideas to come.
