Illuminating Musical Sessions: In our live music series, ‘Under The Sun’, artists perform in Calienna's plant paradise under our iconic sun; an environment that seeks to compliment the passion, vulnerability and dedication of self that the artists put into their very own music. We illuminate them and in turn they illuminate us.
SESSION 01
Aze
The first musical artists featured in our series are AZE, an Austrian and Turkish/Kurdish female duo based in Vienna, who are constantly evolving their own identity while walking a tightrope between two distinct and often conservative cultures. Their new generation R&B sound, described by composer/producer Beyza Demirkalp as “anything sexy to sad”, is fused with singer Ezgi Atas’ introspective and powerful lyrics. The two share common roots since childhood and although not sisters, their unbreakable bond and the resulting journeys together have helped form the narrative backbone of AZE.
It’s a hypnotic performance and, although just 12 minutes in length, we are taken through different shades of AZE’s personality within three songs featured on their current EP, Dead Heat.

Doppelfinger
We're proud to feature Doppelfinger, the second musical artist to perform Under The Sun. Clemens Bäre (aka Doppelfinger) is an Austrian singer/songwriter, whose introspective lyrics and timeless instrumentation provides an oasis of calm courage in what seems like an increasingly chaotic world. The honesty and depth of his songs hits the spot and shows a unique vulnerability that encourages the listener to do the same.
With the recent release of his full length album, By Design, he performs two songs from his front-to-back poetic effort as well as two brand new, unreleased songs.
